Mark Crampton Memorial Trans-Atlantic Row

help us In the Fight Against Veteran Suicide

About the Challenge

Hi Everyone! Robert here. I am posting this video because many of you have asked what exactly this trans-Atlantic event will be like. I’ve chosen this video because it not only shows military amputees attempting this row, but it also gives a good sense of what could happen during an Atlantic row.

Please Note: We ARE NOT officially in this Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge/Race. Why? Because we have the only 12-person boat in the world and therefore we will not be racing anybody. However, we will start from about the same place at about the same time. And hopefully we will end about the same time in Antigua in the Caribbean.

I encourage many of you to watch this video with your kids or grandkids and let them ask questions. The young people can follow me on Facebook, Robert H Owens, for the 40 or 50 days and maybe write a report in school about it. I’ve been asked to come do some High School and College/University talks after the row. They should be encouraging and fun.

Please Remember: I am dong this as a fundraiser for The Courage Foundation and our “Veterans Suicide Prevention Program.” I hope you will consider helping and donating something. - Robert Owens
